I’ll HAVE ANOTHER SHOCKS CROWD AT KENTUCKY DERBY; race video
on Saturday, May 5, 2012Jockey Mario Gutierrez and his horse were against all odds Saturday afternoon.
Nobody considered the duo a contender in the largest race of the year. Gutierrez,
a rookie jockey making his first appearance in the derby at age 25, and I’ll Have
Another, who was a tremendous underdog and cheap purchase shocked the crowd
today. Bursting out of post number 19, a first time ever winner from this position,
I’ll Have Another overtook Bodemeister on the home stretch to win by over a full
length. $32.00 to $2.00 betting odds didn’t phase Guttierrez or his underrated
horse, landing them both in the winner’s circle.
